There are Instagram gossip blogs, and then there’s TwoMe. With over 1.5 million followers on IG, TwoMe is known for spilling the juiciest tea on breaking celebrity news, and now the popular account is heading into print and the small screen. According to DeadlineHBO Max has signed a script-to-series order of Anonymous pleaseDeuxMoi’s first novel to appear, which will be released on November 8th.

The hour-long drama series will highlight the journey of the start of the pseudonymous IG account. From a synopsis on Harper Collins, Anonymous please, the novel, will follow “Cricket Lopez, assistant to one of the most notorious celebrity stylists,” as she “revamps her old-fashioned Instagram account and turns it into a celebrity gossip blog on a whim. drunk head”. Cricket “never think it will become anything. It’s just a way to vent after a terrible, terrible day at work where her nightmarish boss yells at her and blames her for the bullshit of an 18-year-old influencer. But when the account grows overnight and, even wilder, when she starts getting fan gossip – juicy gossip – she has to face the facts: her Instagram is now famous. She is now famous.”

Along with the highs and lows of running an A-list blog while working as an assistant, Cricket “has celebrities, investors, and journalists who approach her with bright-eyed interest. Plus, there’s has a hot new love interest she meets through her online persona – except she has no idea if she can really trust his motives, but as the account grows and becomes more and more famous , she must be wondering: the fame, the insider access, the escape from real life losing everything she has?”

The creator of TwoMe works hard to conceal his identity, but the blogger has publicly stated that he runs such a successful account. More recently, DeuxMoi spoke with StyleCaster if they’d rather be compared to the classic gossip icons on Gossip Girl or Bridgerton. “Personally, I identify more with the way Lady Whistledown behaves than with Gossip Girl,” the anonymous blogger said. “On the show, people almost want to be featured in [Lady Whistledown’s] paper. It kind of cements their popularity and place in society when they are mentioned. And she’s not mean.”

HBO Max hasn’t confirmed any news on the show’s cast and release date, but we’re definitely on the case pending further details.

From the sound of the novel, Anonymous pleasethe series will be filled with twists and turns, and for my part, I count over the days until it is released.
