Behive Transmedia’s first Pakistani miniseries, titled Khaab Toot Jaatay Hain is set for release December 27 on Hum TV.
Bilal Ashraf, who is venturing into production with the project, took to Instagram to make the announcement.
“Bismillah. Our baby project is finally released on December 27 at 8 p.m. on HUM TV only. Behive Transmedia presents the first Pakistani mini-series to air on HUM TV, ”the actor-turned-producer wrote.
Bilal had earlier announced that he was venturing into production with Behive Transmedia, a production house he co-owns with filmmaker and actor Muhammad Ehteshamuddin.
The series is based on the book by Dr Syed Sajjad Hussain The waste of time. Ehteshamuddin not only co-produced and directed the series, but he also stars in the drama.
He plays Bengali professor Dr Syed Sajjad Hussain, who was the vice-chancellor of the University of Dhaka in 1971. Revolving around the fall of Dhaka, the next television series recounts the professor’s memoirs which were written in 1973 in the Dhaka central prison where he was held captive.

It is written by Amjad Islam Amjad. The cast includes Nadeem Baig, Ehtishamuddin, Kulsoom Aftab, Peerzada Salman, Noor ul Hasan, Mohammad Ahmed, Saleem Mairaj, Eman Ahmed, Hania Ahmed, Ali Rizvi, Sunil Shankar, Saad Fareedi, Sharjil Baloch, Nazar ul Hasan, Hammad Siddique, Manan Hameed, Noreen Gulwani and Shabir Bhatti.
