After years of speculation at Bradley Fair, the news is official:

Nordstrom Rack opens on the south side of Center at 21st and Rock Road.

“Nordstrom Rack is a retailer that has often been in demand from our shoppers, and we are delighted to fill that need,” Abbey Way, Managing Director of Bradley Fair, said in an emailed statement.

“In addition to their wide selection of many desired brands, Nordstrom Rack will bring great energy to the south end of the property and be a great neighbor to Trader Joe’s and Pedego.”

For years after Bed Bath & Beyond and Fresh Market left the center, shoppers wondered when new businesses would open at the south end of the popular development.

Many years ago it was rumored that Nordstrom Rack, which sells clothing and accessories, was watching the space.

The store is similar to a Saks Off 5th, TJ Maxx or Marshalls.

No one with Nordstrom Rack could be immediately reached for comment.

The store will occupy the majority of the former Bed Bath & Beyond space.

Construction is underway and the store will open next summer.

Look for more store news soon.
