The TikToker said: “I want to apologize to Kiki Osinbajo because she was never arrested. The story is not true and my source tricked me and took someone else as Kiki.

A TikTok content creator with the username @Realcharley22 has retracted his previous statement that Kiki Osinbajo, daughter of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, was arrested in London.

An authoritative source at the Presidential Villa had confirmed NOPE that Ms Osinbajo flew to Abuja with her father on Tuesday when the Vice President was returning from the United Nations World Tourism Organization World Tourism Conference in Lagos.

The source said Ms Osinbajo was in Abuja when TikToker said she was arrested in London.

The Liberian content creator had in a one minute and 22 second video claimed that Ms Osinbajo was arrested by UK authorities on Wednesday in possession of huge sums of cash.

But 24 hours later, the TikToker posted another video retracting the previous post about the vice president’s daughter.

The 59-second video has over 400 views in less than two hours after its release.

The Liberian said, “I want to apologize to Kiki Osinbajo because she was never arrested. The story is not true and my source tricked me and took someone else as Kiki.

“I want to make a disclaimer on the video I posted earlier, I’m so sorry, my followers and Kiki Osinbajo, she was never arrested. Kiki Osinbajo was never arrested, my Inside source mistook someone else for Kiki Osinbajo.

“Popular Nigerian blogger Tunde Ednut has just confirmed on Instagram that this is untrue, Kiki has never been arrested.

“He asked me to take the story down and the story is confirmed to be false.”
